Join Us

You are invited to participate in one of a series of regional Chronic Disease planning meetings occurring across Arkansas. A collaboration of programs and agencies will be traveling to your area to gather public input on Chronic Disease issues in the state. Information gathered from these meetings will be presented at the State Chronic Disease Forum and incorporated into the development of the Arkansas 2010 Chronic Disease State Plan. Participants will:

• Understand the purpose and intended use of the Arkansas Chronic Disease State Plan.
• Understand how the Chronic Disease State Plan will relate to the Healthy People 2020 vision and mission statements as well as its overarching goal.
• Provide local public comment to assist in identifying cross-cutting issues found in that area of the state.
• Gain knowledge of the guidelines and processes for implementation and evaluation.
• Provide input on technical assistance needs for their community.

Continuing Education Units are pending approval for Registered Dietitians. Continuing Education Training Hours for Certified Prevention Specialists and Certified Prevention Consultants have been approved. Continuing Nursing Education has been approved for Registered Nurses.

Program Overview and Instructor Bio.

Kookie krumblerz fitnezz 4 kidz was founded in the year 2009 by Martial Arts Instructor Datus Jessup. Mr. Jessup wanted to be a positive factor in children’s lives and show them there is more to life than music, dancing, fighting and drugs. Kookie Krumblerz fitnezz 4 kidz was formed to show a positive alternative for children of all ethnic backgrounds that they can do something positive or be somebody great in today’s society.

The program has three main functions:
Education
Physical Fitness
Community Service
Fundraising


Education is a very important factor in this program. Each member must be willing to maintain C or above grade level in school. All children must present report cards or progress reports to the instructor.

They must stay away from gangs, drugs, drinking and Smoking or any other negative activity that is harmful.

The Community Development Institute Central offers an educational and training experience in which a person can develop the knowledge and skills to facilitate community and economic development.

Created in 1987, the Community Development Institute Central is a program endorsed by the Community Development Council, a national certification organization, and consists of three one-week long series of seminars that offer a comprehensive curriculum of professional knowledge and skills in community and economic development and capacity building.
